Boats are sold individually, and the details of your purchase are set out in your written purchase agreement. Here's what to expect in general.
1. Delivery and Handover Timeline
A boat from our inventory can usually be ready for handover soon after payment clears and the paperwork is complete. Timing depends on the boat, any preparation or repair work agreed in writing, and transport scheduling. We'll give you a specific handover date when you confirm your order.
2. Delivery Options and Cost
You can take delivery at our location at no extra charge. If you'd like the boat transported to your marina, ramp or home, we can help arrange transport. It is quoted at the time of order based on distance, boat size and trailer needs. Please make sure the destination can accommodate the boat and any trailer.
3. On Delivery Day
The buyer or an authorized representative should be present for handover. We'll go through the boat's systems with you and hand over keys and documentation. Please inspect the boat carefully and note any concerns on the handover paperwork before you sign to accept it.
4. Order Changes
Changes to equipment or add-ons can generally be made before preparation of your boat begins. Contact us as soon as possible if you'd like to make a change; if work has already started, some changes may not be possible or may affect your price and timeline.
5. Deposits and Cancellations
Whether a deposit is refundable depends on the terms of your written purchase agreement. If we have begun preparing your boat or ordering equipment for you, non-recoverable costs may be deducted from any refund. We'll always tell you the specific terms before you pay.
Visit fee. The visit fee covers bringing the boat to you. It starts at a minimum of $250 and depends on your location, and we confirm the exact amount before you pay. Only 30% of the visit fee is refundable.
6. Returns
Each boat is sold individually, so completed sales are generally final once the boat has been delivered and accepted. We encourage a sea trial and, for pre-owned boats, an independent survey before you buy. This policy doesn't affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, or any written warranty provided with your boat.
7. Defects and Warranty Claims
New boats may be covered by the manufacturer's warranty; pre-owned boats are sold as described in your purchase agreement, which will state whether any warranty is included. If you notice a problem, contact us as soon as possible with a description and photos if available, and we'll help point you to the right next step.
